For an Independent, Anti-Imperialist Socialist Britain in Solidarity with Latin America and the World

PREAMBLE

SolidarioGB is an independent socialist platform dedicated to the principle that solidarity is not charity but a weapon of class struggle. We operate in the heart of the British imperial state, yet our gaze is fixed southward — toward Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and the oppressed nations of the world — because we understand that no socialist revolution in Britain is possible without the defeat of imperialism abroad, and no anti-imperialist struggle abroad can triumph without the overthrow of the imperialist bourgeoisie at home.

We reject the parochialism of the British left, which treats international solidarity as an afterthought or a moral gesture. We reject the Labour Party and its satellites as parties of imperial management, not working-class emancipation. And we reject the sectarian fragmentation of the existing far left, which substitutes organisational fetishism for the patient construction of anti-imperialist consciousness among the masses.

Our starting point is the concrete analysis of imperialism today: not the imperialism of 1917 in abstract, but the imperialism of 2026 — financialised, digitised, ecologically catastrophic, and desperately redividing the world through war, sanctions, and hybrid aggression. From Palestine to Venezuela, from the Sahel to the South China Sea, the imperialist bloc headed by the United States and its British junior partner is in terminal decline, and its death throes threaten humanity itself.

We stand for socialism or barbarism. There is no third way.

I. WHAT IS SOLIDARIOGB?

SolidarioGB is not a political party. It is an anti-imperialist platform and school of formation — a space for political education, agitation, and the coordination of solidarity actions that link the struggles of the British working class and migrant communities with the anti-imperialist resistance of the Global South.

We are:

  • A platform of independent socialist analysis, unaffiliated to any single party but open to collaboration with all genuine anti-imperialist and communist forces.
  • An online and on-the-ground school (Escuela de Formación Anti-imperialista) producing theory, translation, and multimedia content accessible to a new generation radicalised by crisis, war, and climate collapse.
  • A solidarity network connecting British-based activists with Latin American, Caribbean, African, and Asian movements resisting imperialist plunder.
  • A pole of attraction for those breaking with Labourism, social democracy, and the sterile sectarianism of the existing left.

We do not pretend to be the vanguard. We seek to help build the vanguard through the fusion of revolutionary theory with the concrete practice of anti-imperialist solidarity.

II. THE EPOCH: IMPERIALISM IN ITS DEATH AGONY

We are in the epoch of imperialism and proletarian revolution, as Lenin diagnosed. But the form of imperialism has mutated:

  1. Financialised monopoly capital dominates. The City of London is not a national financial centre but a global node of parasitic extraction, laundering the wealth of the Global South through debt, speculation, and offshore extraction.
  2. Digital imperialism has emerged. Big Tech, in collusion with the Pentagon and MI6, surveils, manipulates, and disciplines populations worldwide. The “platform economy” is not a neutral innovation but a new form of labour super-exploitation and data colonialism.
  3. Ecological imperialism accelerates. The Global North has outsourced its environmental destruction to the South, while simultaneously imposing “green” conditionalities — carbon markets, debt-for-nature swaps — that lock colonised nations into underdevelopment. Climate change is not an abstract crisis; it is imperialist war by other means.
  4. Hybrid warfare has replaced the old Cold War. Sanctions, colour revolutions, media warfare, and proxy armies are the preferred weapons of a bloc that can no longer win conventional wars. From the blockade of Cuba to the coup attempts in Venezuela, from the devastation of Gaza to the NATO proxy war in Ukraine, imperialism reveals its fascistic core.

We do not accept the lie that we face a “multipolar world” of equal powers. We face a world of imperialist hierarchy, with the US-UK-EU-NATO axis at its head, and we are unambiguous in our support for all nations and movements that resist this axis.

III. LATIN AMERICA: THE STRATEGIC REARGUARD OF ANTI-IMPERIALISM

Latin America is not a peripheral concern for SolidarioGB. It is the strategic rearguard of the world anti-imperialist struggle and the laboratory where twenty-first-century socialism is being forged in fire.

We stand in unconditional solidarity with:

  • The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, resisting blockade, sabotage, and electoral subversion. We reject the puppet “opposition” and recognise the legitimacy of its sovereign institutions.
  • The Republic of Cuba, sixty-six years undefeated despite genocidal blockade. We demand the immediate return of Guantánamo and the lifting of all sanctions.
  • The Plurinational State of Bolivia, recovering from the 2019 coup and rebuilding indigenous socialism.
  • The Nicaraguan people, defying hybrid warfare and sanctions with popular democracy.
  • The Colombian masses, resisting the far-right’s war on peace and social protest.
  • The Chilean people, whose revolutionary traditions — from Allende to the 2019 estallido social — continue to challenge the Pinochet constitution and neoliberal order.
  • Brazil, Argentina, Honduras, and all nations where popular movements confront IMF structural adjustment, US military bases, and narco-paramilitary violence.

We reject the “pink tide vs. radical left” framing imposed by Western academics. Our solidarity is with the people and their anti-imperialist governments, not with NGO-ised “civil society” funded by USAID and the National Endowment for Democracy.

We demand:

  • Immediate lifting of all unilateral coercive measures (sanctions) against Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, and all targeted nations.
  • Cancellation of illegitimate debt imposed by the IMF and Wall Street on Latin American states.
  • Closure of all US and British military bases in Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Extradition of Latin American oligarchs and coup-plotters residing in London and Miami to face justice in their home countries.
  • Recognition of the Caribbean nations’ reparations claims for slavery and colonial genocide.

IV. BRITAIN: THE IMPERIALIST METROPOLE

We do not flatter ourselves that Britain is a “democracy.” It is an imperialist metropole whose wealth, institutions, and culture are saturated with the blood of colonialism. Our task is to organise the decolonisation of Britain itself — politically, economically, and ideologically.

1. Against the British Imperial State

  • Abolition of the monarchy, the House of Lords, and the royal prerogative. These are not quaint traditions but the constitutional armour of a state built on conquest.
  • Dissolution of the United Kingdom into sovereign, equal republics of England, Scotland, Wales, and a united Ireland, with the right of each nation to self-determination, including independence. The British state is unreformable; it must be dismantled.
  • Withdrawal from NATO, the Five Eyes alliance, and all imperialist military pacts. Closure of all British military bases abroad.
  • Disbandment of MI5, MI6, GCHQ, and the Metropolitan Police’s political units as instruments of class war and colonial surveillance.
  • A Constituent Assembly, elected by universal suffrage with imperative mandate, to draft a socialist constitution based on popular sovereignty.

2. For the Migrant and Exile Working Class

Britain’s proletariat is multinational and multiracial. The Windrush scandal, the Rwanda deportation scheme, and the Hostile Environment policy reveal that racism is the domestic face of imperialism. We demand:

  • Full citizenship rights for all residents, irrespective of nationality, race, religion, or immigration status.
  • Immediate regularisation of all undocumented migrants.
  • An end to all immigration detention and the closure of centres such as Yarl’s Wood, Brook House, and Derwentside.
  • Reparations for the Windrush generation and all victims of colonial and neo-colonial displacement.
  • Solidarity with Latin American, Caribbean, African, and Asian exile communities in Britain, recognising their political struggles as integral to the British class struggle.

3. Economic Demands: From Austerity to Expropriation

  • Expropriation without compensation of the energy, water, rail, and telecommunications monopolies, and their transfer to workers’ and community control.
  • Expropriation of the banks and the City of London, with debts to the Global South cancelled and assets redirected to popular development.
  • A living wage indexed to inflation, a 30-hour working week with no loss of pay, and an end to zero-hours contracts and platform exploitation.
  • Universal, free healthcare, education, housing, and public transport, funded by progressive taxation on wealth and the cancellation of military spending.
  • A moratorium on all household and student debt.

4. Ecological Justice

We reject “green capitalism” and the commodification of nature. We demand:

  • A planned transition to renewable energy under workers’ and community control, not corporate “net-zero” schemes.
  • Reparations from the Global North to the Global South for climate damage.
  • Expropriation of agribusiness and fossil-fuel corporations, with conversion to sustainable production.
  • Food sovereignty, breaking the monopoly of supermarket chains and supporting small farmers and cooperatives.

V. THE BRITISH LEFT: CRITIQUE AND ORIENTATION

SolidarioGB intervenes in the British left not to build another sect, but to raise the level of anti-imperialist consciousness and break the hold of Labourism and social-pacifism.

Against Labourism

The Labour Party is not a “lesser evil.” It is the principal instrument of imperialist management in the working class. From Attlee’s atomic bomb to Blair’s Iraq war, from Callaghan’s IMF deal to Starmer’s genocide complicity, Labour has consistently defended the interests of British capital. We do not advocate entryism, “reclaiming” Labour, or tactical voting. We advocate its political destruction and the construction of an independent workers’ movement.

Against Sectarian Fragmentation

We are critical of the existing far left’s tendency to substitute organisational competition for mass work. The endless splits, fronts, and coalitions — TUSC, Transform, Left Unity, and the latest “Socialist Federation” — have failed to cohere a genuine mass alternative because they lack:

  1. A clear anti-imperialist line that names NATO, Zionism, and the EU as enemies.
  2. Roots in the multinational working class, especially migrant communities.
  3. A theory of the state that goes beyond parliamentary cretinism.
  4. A serious orientation toward political education and cadre formation.

We do not propose yet another front. We propose a method: patient base-building, political education, and solidarity practice that prepares the subjective conditions for a future revolutionary party.

For a New Communist Unity

We are open to collaboration with all genuine communist, anti-imperialist, and revolutionary socialist forces in Britain — on the basis of:

  • Unconditional anti-imperialism and support for the anti-colonial resistance.
  • Rejection of the Labour Party as a vehicle for socialist transformation.
  • Recognition that the British state must be smashed, not captured.
  • Commitment to proletarian internationalism, supporting any nation that decides to take up socialism as a political system.

VI. FORMS OF WORK

SolidarioGB operates through:

  1. The Escuela de Formación Anti-imperialista: Online and in-person courses, reading groups, and seminars on Marxism-Leninism, imperialism, Latin American history, and revolutionary strategy.
  2. Translation and Agitation: Rendering the documents, statements, and analyses of anti-imperialist movements into English, and producing original analysis for international distribution.
  3. Solidarity Campaigns: Concrete actions — demonstrations, pickets, delegations, material aid — in support of besieged nations and political prisoners.
  4. Multimedia: Video, podcast, and social media content that reaches beyond the traditional left ghetto, speaking to radicalised youth in their own languages.
  5. Cadre Development: Identifying and training committed militants capable of building the nuclei of future revolutionary organisation in workplaces, communities, and campuses.

VII. INTERNATIONAL ORIENTATION

SolidarioGB is part of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform and the broader movement for a revived Communist International. We seek coordination with:

  • The anti-imperialist governments and popular movements of Latin America, through ALBA-TCP, CELAC, and bilateral solidarity.
  • The Palestinian resistance and the Axis of Resistance in the Middle East.
  • The anti-colonial movements of Africa, from the Sahel to the Horn.
  • The socialist states of Asia defending themselves against encirclement.
  • The revolutionary communist parties of Europe resisting NATO expansion and EU austerity.

We do not believe in “non-intervention.” We believe in active, organised solidarity — including the formation of international brigades, material support networks, and coordinated political action against our common imperialist enemy.

CONCLUSION

The choice before humanity is stark: socialism or extinction. Imperialism, in its desperation, is dragging the world toward nuclear confrontation, ecological collapse, and fascist barbarism. The only force capable of stopping it is the organised working class, allied with the oppressed nations, armed with revolutionary theory and the will to power.

SolidarioGB does not claim to be that force. But we are digging the trenches where that force will be forged. In the classrooms of our Escuela, on the streets of London and Manchester, in the WhatsApp groups of migrant workers, and in the solidarity caravans to Latin America, we are building the cadres, the consciousness, and the connections that the coming storms will demand.

Solidarity is our weapon. Anti-imperialism is our flag. Socialism is our horizon.
