The British left faces a structural vacuum: Labour has 309,000 members but governs as a right-wing party; Your Party (Corbyn/Sultana) collapsed from 600,000 mailing-list signups to 55,000 members and zero elected councillors within eight months; the CPB has 1,270 members; the RCP has 1,310 members. The far right (Reform UK: 268,000 members) is the only force successfully recruiting from the abandoned industrial working class.

This blueprint rejects both parliamentary cretinism (Your Party’s fatal error) and sectarian purity. It proposes a dual-power strategy: building territorial base organisations (“Red Trenches”) that combine immediate material services, workplace organising, and political education — creating the social infrastructure without which no electoral breakthrough is possible.

The model is not the LFI (gaseous movement without roots) or Your Party (mailing-list party without trenches). It is the KPÖ Plus Graz model adapted to British conditions: single-issue depth (housing), material solidarity (social fund, casework), door-to-door presence, and elected officials who live like the class they represent.
